Crown and Bridge
Fillings > Porcelain Veneers > Bonding > Bleaching > Dental Implants > Invisalign
Crowns are dental restorations that are placed over a tooth when conservative restorations are insufficient to restore form and function.
Bridges combine crowns and replacement teeth in one prosthesis, such that the crowns are placed on either side of the missing tooth/ teeth and are connected by the replacement tooth/teeth to ‘bridge the space’. Most crowns and bridges are made from a white gold framework covered with porcelain to provide optimal esthetics and strength. However, some crowns and even some bridges can be made metal free and entirely of Porcelain where cosmetic concerns are paramount.
Today, implants can often make bridges unnecessary. Call Peter Smrecek, Dentist, Newport Beach today for more information.
